Terms of Publication & CC BY 4.0 Open-Access License

Legal governance, Creative Commons attribution requirements, academic repository integrity, and scientific research disclaimers for ehps2017.org.

1. Open-Access Licensing and Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0)

The European Health Psychology Research Consortium operates the EHPS Behavioral Medicine & Preventive Health Archive (ehps2017.org) under an open-access philosophy. Unless explicitly noted otherwise on specific historical archives, all monographs, clinical reviews, meta-analytic figures, statistical formulas, and editorial prefaces published on this website are licensed under the:

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)

Under the terms of CC BY 4.0, users are legally permitted and encouraged to:

  • Share: Copy, redistribute, and transmit the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial translational applications.

These permissions are granted provided that the following statutory conditions are fulfilled:

  • Attribution: You must give appropriate credit to the originating authors and the Consortium, provide a direct link to the source document on ehps2017.org, cite the assigned Digital Object Identifier (DOI), and indicate if changes were made.
  • No Additional Restrictions: You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

2. Academic Citation Protocol

Scholars and clinical investigators citing proceedings from this repository must utilize the standardized archival citation provided within the DOI citation panel of each monograph. For example:

Vandenberg, L., & Lindqvist, M. (2017). Ergonomic Mitigations for Prolonged Video Display Terminal (VDT) Exposure: Biomechanics, Ciliary Accommodative Spasm, and Circadian Spectral Filtering. EHPS Behavioral Medicine & Preventive Health Archive, Monograph Series, 4(2), 112–129. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ehps2017.03.011

3. Scientific and Educational Purpose Disclaimer

The monographs, physiological data, meta-analyses, and interactive calculators published on ehps2017.org are prepared strictly for biomedical researchers, occupational health professionals, clinical psychologists, and health science scholars.

Not Individual Medical Advice: None of the content on this website constitutes individual medical diagnosis, prognosis, treatment advice, or personal medical consultation. Patients experiencing ocular symptoms, acute spinal back pain, severe periodontal hemorrhage, metabolic dysfunction, or chest pain must seek direct evaluation from a licensed physician or specialist dentist. Never disregard professional clinical advice or delay seeking treatment based on material published in this empirical research archive.

4. Repository Integrity and Computational Tooling

The interactive Behavioral Intervention Effect-Size (Cohen's d & NNT) Calculator is provided as an empirical computational utility using validated statistical formulas (specifically Cohen's d, Hedges' g, and Furukawa & Leucht 2011 probit NNT models). While the Consortium validates all code against standard mathematical distributions, clinical researchers are responsible for confirming statistical assumptions and ensuring that sample sizes and variance distributions meet normality requirements before submitting findings to regulatory bodies.

5. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

"EHPS Behavioral Medicine & Preventive Health Archive", the EHPS seal, and the Consortium logo are intellectual marks of the European Health Psychology Research Consortium. While the underlying scientific text and data are freely licensed under CC BY 4.0, institutional branding, layout design systems, and organizational identity may not be used to endorse non-Consortium commercial ventures without prior written authorization from the Secretariat.
